Tu B’Av

When romance is in the air you better start flying. Or at least inhaling.

We do not mourn for long. Mourning is easy; standing up is hard. But just as the moon waxes poetic in its fullest, so does mankind. On this day, the tribes began court and marry one another. On this day the wood for the fire (read: the fuel for the soul) was readied and complete. On this day the young ladies would take to the streets of Jerusalem and the fine gentleman would compose poems of their beauty (every single one was beauty, but every single one in her own inimitable way). No, we do not mourn for long and this is how we stand up proud.
