“I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me.” The King is in the field and all subjects may approach Him and embrace His crown. It is a time to reflect upon the year past and dream for the year ahead. We court the Creator. The Creator asks us out. And by out we mean in. The final week, leading up to the New Year, is dedicated to refining the edges, honing the jaggedness, polishing the roughened diamond. The past year our hearts fell in love; the coming year love will fall into our heart. We are to our beloved – the Creator – how then could our beloved ever not be to us?
