Nisan

The harsh cold gives way to the warm sun. The month begins with prep work, readying our selves and our orbits for freedom and ridding our selves of anything enslaving. Each of the first fifteen days corresponds to another princely offering. There is the Sabbath of the month and the great Sabbath. Then comes freedom, Passover, eight days of unleavened bliss, culminating in the splitting of the sea and the redemptive feast. On the sixteenth we begin counting the Omer, forty-nine days till Sinai where we will receive the Torah.
