Sometimes the sun sets. Once in a while it doesn’t. What does this teach us about shining?

On the third day the sun was upheld in the sky. On the seventeenth, the tablets were shattered and the holy walls were breached. Breakage begets breakage. Thus begins the saddest three weeks in the calendar, when we do not take haircuts or marry. It is summer time but a soul never goes on vacation; rather, it is reminded what it means to shine brighter than a child’s smile.
