10 Tevet

When you feel trapped it is time to question your trappings.

The legions besiege the holy city, asphyxiating the holy people. It is antithetical for a space defined as freedom to be trapped. But we it is an antithetical world in which we live. We fast to commemorate the besiegement. How can we eat when our brothers were starving? But as always, the number-one reason we remember the dark is so that we may never forget to shine the light. Sometimes a city – or a person – is surrounded by entities antithetical to its purpose. It is imperative that at this moment the purpose be unleashed.
