Mittler Rebbe

When the holy words flow from on high, sometimes the ink doesn’t have time to dry.

Rabbi Dovber was born on 9 Kislev 5534 (1773) in Belarus. Known as the Mitteler Rebbe (“Middle” Rebbe), he succeeded his father as the Rebbe of Chabad. The Mitteler Rebbe relocated to the village of Lubavitch, where he taught some of the most esoteric, complex, and intricate Chassidic thought and philosophy. The Mitteler Rebbe passed away on the same day of his birth, 9 Kislev, 5588 (1827).
