How do you deal with adversity?
“I have not failed 10,000 times—I’ve successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work,” Edison famously said. A key factor in determining your success is your reaction to setbacks. Does it demoralize you? Does it affirm feelings of inadequacy and failure? Or does it motivate you to dig deeper and try again using new methods? Do you learn from the setback and adjust accordingly? Are you a quitter or a fighter? How many opportunities have we missed due to our retreating in face of setbacks? How many life-changing innovations came about as a result of a misstep or mistake?
