Why Do You Matter?

It may seem like a silly question, but does your life truly matter? With 7.7 billion people on this planet, what possible significance can one person have?

This is not a small issue: If you feel that you don’t really matter, then your life choices and decisions also don’t really matter. What type of life can you live when all that you do has no true value? No wonder that many of us feel unmotivated and uninspired.

Please join Rabbi Simon Jacobson as he presents a fresh new approach to finding meaning and passion in life. Discover the real reason that you and your actions truly matter. Not just you, but the entire world — and the cosmos themselves — are dependent on your choices. You indeed have the power to change the world.

I really found this meaningful and helpful.
When I became more disabled over 3 years ago, my world stopped revolving. Several years ago, I became very ill and then started to go blind. My doctor told me I was lucky, I was still here. I cried, lost and living in a different world. I had surgery and my sight settled a little with the use of modern drug therapy.
I still struggled, born with a sight problem it continues on a lesser level.
Then just over three years ago, walking became a problem, I now use a Power Wheelchair.
I think looking back I’ve found something, my family love me as I am.
I write on Family Law, and child contact where there are problems with divorce.
My Faith is stronger, I questioned why? Now I can understand something just didn’t fit, I loved my father dearly. I was a father’s daughter. My mother came second. I’m part of both of them, and an addition from HaShem, my Soul.
I believe we are, we are capable of much, but we need a helping hand. In the supermarket recently, other customers would quietly ask, do you need anything of reach?
Do I need anything out of reach? Sometimes I do, that takes a bit of courage to ask at times.
