Metzora
As physical ailments require physical cures, spiritual ailments require spiritual cures.
The Kohen, a soul doctor of sorts, a mystical chemist, develops a cure for the spiritually afflicted. Just as a being of flesh and blood may be afflicted by spiritual imperfection, so too may a home of brick and mortar. Once again, the Kohen diagnoses the symptoms and offers his spiritual prognoses. Sometimes the home may stand; sometimes it has to be destroyed. The reproductive ability is the deepest and most complex of all abilities. It is transformative and with all transformation comes impure residuals, body outweighing soul. We immerse in the baths of ritual – the mikvah – and recalibrate our bodies to or souls.
