Pinchas
Be a fundamentalist. Fundamentally good. Fundamentally holy. Fundamentally divine.
Pinchas is a zealot for goodness, doing whatever it takes to make the world better. It is rewarding. Moses counts the people – around 600,000 souls strong – and divides up the sacred real estate of the Holy Land. The daughters of Tzlofchod receive their legacy and the laws of inheritance are documented. Joshua is Moses’ successor. The Torah recounts daily offerings, the offerings of the new month, and the festival offerings, those of Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret.
