Do you plague the world or does the world plague you?
It is one thing to take the body out of slavery, it is quite another to take the slavery out of the body. Transforming the finite into the infinite requires a process. The steps are called plagues. It begins with water into blood, cool indifference into hot life. Then comes frogs, followed by a tale of lice and men; then wild beasts, pestilence, boils, and a hail cocktail one part fire one part ice. Pharaoh’s heart is like a hard rock café – only without the café. Seven plagues later and the people are still enslaved in Egypt.
