Week 5: Humility

Explore humility — the attribute that defines modesty, sensitivity and gratitude. What is humility and why is it so important? Is your humility coming from strength or weakness? Humility is often confused with passivity and even lack of self-esteem. In truth, healthy humility is actually quite formidable – it is suspending yourself in face of a greater truth; recognizing your qualities and strengths and acknowledging that they are not your own; they were given to you for a higher purpose. Humility is a power that opens you up to new horizons and possibilities. In its ability to yield and be flexible, humility allows you to become indestructible.

    I can honestly say depending on the situation I can swing from a 6 to an 8 when it comes to humility.I am constantly working on being a more humble person.
    The key to being humble for me is seeing myself as part of a whole. I believe we are each given different strengths and talents in order to serve one another.
    I also Love to examine my actions and ask myself would the Devine be please with my actions, attitude or response within each situation that requires humility. I believe if we can all see our selves as a piece of a puzzle- working together for a Devine purpose -then being humble will be your ultimate goal in every interactions. This mindset of seeing myself as part of a whole and being here to serve others is where my drive and determination to be humble comes from. That is my perspective on how we can all thrive to be more humble in a way that is grounded in love and power.
