I had unconditional love from my mother but my father’s love was conditional on his judgement of my behaviour. Needing to be the good girl!
As I have aged, I am much better at giving unconditional love to my nearest and dearest and know when I am doing this by my feelings of non resistance and enjoying the moment.
I also like the Buddhist teaching of, do no harm.
Thank you .
Thank You, I am looking forward to the rest of this course!
Love is a complex emotion; it’s typically characterized by strong feelings of affection, care and connection towards someone or something.
Love is a subjective experience and can vary greatly from person to person. What one person experiences as love may be different from what another person experiences.
Please, allow me to ask : How many times do we fall in love? Who usually falls in love first; it’s a love gender gap between men and women?
Your wisdom inspire us, contribute to our personal growth and self-improvement.
Thank you for the opportunity, Respectfully ,RC
To me Love requires kindness, respect, empathy, sympathy patience and action.
I believe we show love by how we treat someone and act towards them-especially in their moment of weakness-how we treat when they are not at their best.Like when they are upset, angry, or make a mistake.
Love to me is the ability to love a friend, a partner or our children without judgment . When I love someone I picture them as God sees them -and when they fall short , I understand they are also human and will make mistakes. In their moment of weakness I remind myself to be respectful and always do my best to address them in a manner that is respectful , humble and patience.
I have been listening to Rabbi Simon recently, and every topic speaks. Thank you for giving us a free course for our self-improvement.
Just watched the video on Love. It’s making me see many things I was never aware of and I am grateful. I look forward to the other videos — they all interconnect and, I believe, will clarify and bring deeper awareness to each quality. I guess what I’m trying to say is that they are integrated and therefore synergistic and the process itself becomes transcendent.
This is so very special.
Thank you. Infinite respect, Rabbi Jacobson.
I’m not Jewish, but I’ve been following Rabbi Simon for months. Thank you for changing my perspective of life. I can already started seeing a difference in my life.
This definition of love resonates with me deeply and I find it comforting to hear it stated in this way. So appreciate your work here and am grateful to have found this talk.
