Commemorating 9/11 elucidates the significance in the numbers themselves: “Ten sefirot of nothingness, ten and not nine, ten and not eleven.”
The first ten days of the Jewish calendar are known as “the ten days of teshuvah.” These are days for soul-searching, repentance and return (teshuvah) to G-d.
Just as Abraham endured ten challenges, we, his children, undergo similar challenges. How we will rise to these ten challenges will define our lives.
